Evergreen, woody twining vine that works great as a covering for a fence, trellis or arbor. Its leaves are a leathery dark green. In summer, reddish-purple, pea-like flowers bloom in large clusters. The blooms are highly fragrant. Not as invasive as the more common Wisteria.
